I love, love, handmade wedding rings and engagement rings.  They’re so romantic!  If you just want a bling on your finger, I’m sure the size of the diamond matters.  But if you want an unique ring that shows your personality, it’s not at all about the size.  It’s about the story and warmth behind your ring.  The jeweler and the wearer is connected with a special bond, and it’s something that you can never buy from a chain retail store.  These handmade rings are carefully hand picked, designed, communicated and polished by the artists, and that’s extraordinary in my opinion.  Here are a few handmade wedding ring favorites I picked out from Etsy.

I have put together all these cute boutonnieres from Etsy artists from all the colors of the rainbow.  Unlike a bride who needs a veil, tiara, earrings, necklace, bracelets, rings, brooches, shoes, inner skirts, etc, a groom only have a few things to jazz up their style with.  Ties and bow ties, cufflinks, earrings, and maybe handkerchief? So a boutonnieres has a big impact on their look, even though they’re so petite.  It makes a groom look like a groom!  Pick wisely, ladies!

Cute, fun brides!! Short wedding dresses seems so fitting when it comes to outdoor weddings, DIY weddings, beach weddings, backyard weddings etc.  For starters it keeps the brides in a light, fun mood since they don’t have to hurl around tons of fabric all day long.  Wedding dresses can be heavy!  By the end of the day I felt like I was training for a marathon dragging a tire behind me.  Secondly it won’t attract all the dirt, grass, grease and sand onto the bottom of the dress.  Less cleaning bills.  Thirdly you can show off your awesome heels and legs!  Fourthly I think everyone in every shape and size looks good in a mini dress.  You can accentuate parts of your body with a big poofy wedding skirt, or hide awkward proportions that you always have trouble with, and feel good looking petite and cute!  I would make all these cute brides into a miniature figurine and display them on a shelf if I could… not in a creepy way. lol.

I always love looking through etsy and finding alternative wedding bouquets such as artificial flower bouquets, vintage brooch bouquets, paper flower bouquets, fabric flower bouquets, etc.  I would love to buy all of them and just display them at my house!  I also love recommending new trendy brides to go with these alternative bouquets.  For one, because it has the warm, handmade look to complete their handmade weddings, and secondly because they will last forever.  Some brides have a hard time managing to dry the fresh flower bouquet well, and end up throwing them away.  These alternative flower bouquets will never wither, and it will look beautiful in a vase as a centerpiece at your home.

How cute are these? I just found a website called Ruche that has a wedding department with all these pretty wedding apparel and accessories.  A very cute vintage online boutique started off as a home based hobby by a newly wed couple.  It supports a lot of small boutiques and indie designers, which is what I most like about them.  These wedding pumps and wedding heels are at their bridal collection, which has everything from bridal dresses, bridesmaid dresses, wedding veils, wedding jewerly and etc.  Definitely worth checking out.  I’ll post more later with other products that they showcase.

I love brides who replaces their veil with a floral bridal hair piece.  It has this goddess-like, elegant essence that gives them so much power to their whole look.  And with the trending vintage, classic weddings these days, bridal hair pieces seems to be the way to go.
