Things to do in Atlanta- Stone Mountain
I’ve been living in Georgia for about nine years now and I’m embarrassed to say that I have never been to Stone Mountains until this past weekend! It was a beautiful weekend, just about 70 degrees (in December.. that’s crazy!), with a good amount of cloud and cool breeze.
Unfortunately I only have pictures after we got up there to share because we were so busy enjoying the walk up the mountain. It only took about 30 mins I believe, might be less. There’s a few options to parking and enjoying view:
1) Park by the cable car entrance, walk about half a mile to the entrance of the trail and then take the cable car down (or take the cable car up, walk down the the trail and back to the car)
2) Park by the trail entrance, walk up the trail and walk down the trail
3) Park by the cable car entrance, take the cable car up, and down.
We did option #1, not really by choice but due to lack of research. haha!
We didn’t do anything else other than the trail and enjoying the view up there, but the park itself is very nicely done, and it seems like there’s a lot more to do. Especially if you’re with kids, and also around this time of the year when the Snow Mountain is open.
Perhaps a good place for your guests and family to enjoy before/after your wedding.

DIY How to Make Paper Flowers Tutorials
This is The Little Canopy’s signature handmade paper flower wedding backdrop! It’s 9 feet wide by 18 feet tall, and it has about 600 handmade paper flowers on a fabric. The variety of flower shapes and sizes gives it much depth and texture, and the lighting that’s shooting from below and above give its dramatic finish. It took about 4-6 weeks to make since I only had after 5pm and the weekend to work on, and probably about 20 bags of hot glue sticks. You can find it in my etsy shop. Unfortunately since it’s so big I don’t have a shipping method for this, so it’ll have to be picked up in Atlanta, or you can buy the DIY listing where I ship out the flowers + fabric and you have to glue them yourself. Anyways I thought I’d dedicate this post to brides who would like to make themselves a handmade paper flower backdrop and find some useful tutorials. A lot of it is improvising, cutting petals in different shapes using the tutorials below, and just lots and lots of gluing! If you have paper scrap left over, cut it into a leaf shape and glue it at the bottom too.

Etsy Finds: Wedding Groom Boutonnieres Gallery in All Colors
I have put together all these cute boutonnieres from Etsy artists from all the colors of the rainbow. Unlike a bride who needs a veil, tiara, earrings, necklace, bracelets, rings, brooches, shoes, inner skirts, etc, a groom only have a few things to jazz up their style with. Ties and bow ties, cufflinks, earrings, and maybe handkerchief? So a boutonnieres has a big impact on their look, even though they’re so petite. It makes a groom look like a groom! Pick wisely, ladies!

Short Mini Wedding Dress Brides
Cute, fun brides!! Short wedding dresses seems so fitting when it comes to outdoor weddings, DIY weddings, beach weddings, backyard weddings etc. For starters it keeps the brides in a light, fun mood since they don’t have to hurl around tons of fabric all day long. Wedding dresses can be heavy! By the end of the day I felt like I was training for a marathon dragging a tire behind me. Secondly it won’t attract all the dirt, grass, grease and sand onto the bottom of the dress. Less cleaning bills. Thirdly you can show off your awesome heels and legs! Fourthly I think everyone in every shape and size looks good in a mini dress. You can accentuate parts of your body with a big poofy wedding skirt, or hide awkward proportions that you always have trouble with, and feel good looking petite and cute! I would make all these cute brides into a miniature figurine and display them on a shelf if I could… not in a creepy way. lol.
